Privacy Policy

Last updated: June 5, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how Piqoria collects, uses, shares, and protects information when you use the Piqoria app, website, admin pages, support channels, and related services. Piqoria is a social prediction game using virtual in-app points called PP and virtual predictions called Piqos.

1. Information We Collect

We may collect the following categories of information:

  • Account information: email address, username, user code, authentication identifiers, and account settings.
  • Profile information: selected avatar, language, public profile details, friends, and shared Piqos.
  • Game information: PP balance, Piqos, answers, stakes, results, rewards, streak activity, leaderboard statistics, and wallet ledger records.
  • Feedback and suggestions: reports, complaints, suggested questions, and messages you send to us.
  • Device and technical information: device type, operating system, app version, IP address, language, error logs, and security events.
  • Advertising information: ad interactions, rewarded ad completion events, advertising identifiers, and information processed by ad providers such as Google AdMob.
  • Notification information: notification permission status and local or remote notification events when supported by your device.

2. How We Use Information

We use information to:

  • create, verify, secure, and manage accounts;
  • operate Piqos, PP balances, rankings, friends, streaks, rewards, and shared Piqos;
  • send authentication, password reset, and account-related emails;
  • show rewarded ads and confirm whether rewards should be granted;
  • detect fraud, abuse, manipulation, technical errors, and security incidents;
  • respond to support requests, feedback, complaints, and legal requests;
  • improve app performance, design, reliability, and user experience;
  • comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms of Service.

3. Legal Bases for Processing

Where laws such as the GDPR apply, we process personal information based on contract performance, legitimate interests, consent, and legal obligations. For example, account and game records are needed to provide the service, security logs help protect users, and ad-related processing may rely on consent where required.

4. Information Visible to Other Users

Your username, user code, selected avatar, ranking information, and certain game statistics may be visible to other users. If you add friends or share a Piqo, your friends may see shared Piqo details such as the question, choice, stake, status, and PP outcome. Do not share information you do not want others to see.

5. Service Providers

We use trusted service providers to operate Piqoria. These may include Supabase for authentication, database, storage, and backend services; Resend or similar providers for transactional emails; Cloudflare for website hosting, security, and delivery; Apple services for app distribution and device features; and Google AdMob for advertising and rewarded ads.

These providers process information only as needed to provide their services to us, according to their own terms, privacy policies, and applicable law.

6. Advertising and Analytics

Piqoria may use advertising services, including Google AdMob, to show ads and reward eligible ad views. Ad providers may collect or receive device identifiers, ad identifiers, IP address, approximate location, app activity, and interaction data. Your device may offer controls to limit ad tracking or reset advertising identifiers.

7. Emails and Notifications

We may send emails for account verification, password reset, security, and important service messages. The app may also ask for permission to send notifications about streak reminders, Piqo results, and occasional reminders. You can manage notification permissions in your device settings.

8. Retention

We keep information for as long as needed to provide Piqoria, maintain security, resolve disputes, comply with law, and enforce our Terms. Some records, such as wallet ledger entries, question outcomes, fraud prevention records, or logs, may be retained after account deletion where necessary for legitimate, legal, accounting, or security reasons.

9. Account Deletion

You may request or use in-app account deletion where available. Account deletion is intended to remove or disconnect your profile from active use. Some information may remain in backups, logs, anti-abuse records, legal records, or aggregated statistics where allowed by law.

10. Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information. No online service is fully secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security. You should keep your email account, password, and device secure.

11. International Transfers

Piqoria and its providers may process information in countries other than your own. When required, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as contractual protections, provider compliance programs, or other lawful transfer mechanisms.

12. Your Rights and Choices

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, export, restrict, or object to processing of your personal information. You may also have the right to withdraw consent where processing is based on consent. To make a request, contact us using the details below.

13. Children

Piqoria is not intended for children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us so we can review and take appropriate action.

14. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If changes are material, we will try to provide notice through the app, website, or another reasonable method. The updated policy will show a new "Last updated" date.
